We enjoyed this hotel even though Mother Nature had damaged the beach. Plenty of activities. The food was very good to excellent and very varied. Welcoming staff.

We couldn't enjoy the beach because of the sargassum seaweed. The staff sometimes struggled to give clear information when you asked them a question. The hotel is very clean and the buffet is very good, with lots of variety, and the Rodeo Grill and Japanese restaurants are excellent.

Nous n’avons pas pu profiter de la plage à cause des sargasses. Le personnel ont un peu de misère à te donner des informations claires quand tu leur pose une question. L’hôtel est très propre et le buffet est très bon, beaucoup de variétés et le restaurant Rodéo grill et le Japonais sont excellents.

The hotel is impeccably clean and the buffet is excellent. However, we were disappointed by the lack of a beach and the staff's service. The air conditioning in our room was particularly noisy, comparable to a diesel engine, making it difficult to sleep due to the constant fan noise. Our polite request to change rooms, made when the hotel seemed relatively empty, was refused on the grounds that all the air conditioning units were the same noise level. Finally, it's important to note that without a "deluxe" room, getting to the restaurants or for morning coffee involves a considerable walk, as they are located at the opposite end of the complex. Even for people who are regularly active, these repeated trips several times a day can become tiresome.

Cependant, nous regrettons l'absence de plage et avons été déçus par le service du personnel. La climatisation de notre chambre était particulièrement bruyante, comparable au son d'un moteur diesel, rendant le sommeil difficile en raison du bruit continu du ventilateur. Notre demande de changement de chambre, formulée poliment et alors que l'établissement semblait peu occupé, a été refusée, sous prétexte que tous les systèmes de climatisation présentaient le même niveau sonore.

Enfin, il est important de noter que sans une chambre de catégorie "deluxe", les déplacements vers les points de restauration ou pour le café matinal impliquent une marche considérable, située à l'extrémité opposée du complexe. Même pour des personnes ayant une activité physique régulière, ces trajets répétés plusieurs fois par jour peuvent devenir fastidieux.

Great stay, good value for money! Good à la carte restaurants, but the buffet is average; the choices don't change much at breakfast and lunch. There's a restaurant-bar on the beach as another lunch option, but it's very fast food and not very good. Otherwise, there are burgers or tacos at the entertainment pool, which are decent. I had a swim-out room, a really nice, large, clean room with a big terrace, sun loungers, and chairs. I was on the entertainment pool side, which was very noisy from 4 to 6 PM. Buildings 1, 2, and 3 are at the back of the resort, quite far from the beach, buffet, and restaurants, except for one à la carte restaurant. I like to walk, but it might be unpleasant for some, mainly because you have to go through the parking lot/lobby entrance area with a pedestrian crossing that looks like a city center with buses, motorcycles, vans, and taxis, as if the resort is divided in two. Only the Privilege and Honeymoon sections are on the central site. Great entertainment! There are live band shows outdoors in the covered area every evening from 8 to 10 PM, where there's a nice large bar and plenty of seating. There are also good quality shows in the theater at 10 PM! The landscaping is beautiful and mature, and there are many animals present: coatis, cereke monkeys, iguanas, birds, and even deer! The beach has been eroded by time, almost ravaged, but there are still some spots higher up, though these are small and close to the jungle. Sargassum (seagrass) is a permanent fixture; the poor workers toil all day trying to remove it. A tractor has been going over it all day, but nothing seems to solve the problem. It's difficult to simply walk along the beach; often you have to walk farther and avoid rough terrain or rocks. It's quite a distance from downtown Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Playa Mujeres… I love swimming in the sea, but I've never been (murky water, sargassum seaweed, smells, or rocks), but that's a common problem in the Riviera Maya! The numerous pools make up for the situation—13 in total, including swim-out pools, and 3 public pools. The hotel's beach activities and excursions are good and less expensive than those offered by tour operators. The gym is well-equipped, but the view is limited to the spa courtyard, so it's more of an indoor experience. Also, it's far from Playa del Carmen, but the hotel offers a shuttle for $5 USD each way.

Bons restos à la carte, mais le buffet est ordinaire, les choix ne changent pas ou peu le matin et midi.
Il y a un resto-bar sur le bord de la plage comme autre option le midi, mais très fast food pas super bon. Sinon option burgers ou tacos à la piscine d’animation correct.
J’avais une chambre swim out, super belle grande chambre propre avec grande terrasse chaises longues et chaises. J’étais coté piscine animation, tres bruyant de 4 à 6 PM.
Les bâtiments 1,2 et 3 sont en arrière du site, très loin de la plage, buffet et restaurants, sauf un resto à la carte. J’aime marcher, mais peut etre désagréable pour certains, mais c’est surtout qu’il faut passer à travers le parking/ air de l’entrée du lobby avec une traverse piéton d’allure de centre-ville avec bus, moto, van et taxi, comme si le site est coupé en deux. Seuls les sections privilèges et honeymoon sont sur le site central.
Super côté animations et entertainment! Il y a des bands show live à l’extérieurs couverts chaque soir 8 à 10 PM où il y a un beau grand bar et pleins d’espaces pour s’asseoir. Des shows au théâtre de bonnes qualités à 10 PM!
L’aménagement végétales est magnifique et mature, beaucoup d’animaux sont présents, coaties, cerékés, iguanes, oiseaux et meme des chevreuils!
La plage a été érodé par le temps, presque ravagé, mais il reste des places plus en hauteur, mais espaces restreints et proche de la jungle. La sargasse (sea grass) est presente de façon permanente, les pauvres ouvriers travaillent toute la journée pour l’enlever. Il y a un tracteur qui est passe toute la journée, mais rien pour arriver à bout du problème. C’est difficile de simplement marcher sur le bord de la mer, souvent, on doit marcher loin et eviter les ravages ou les roches, on est loin du centre-ville Cancun ou playa car ou playa mujeres… j’adore me baigner dans la mer et je n’y suis jamais allé (eau trouble, sargasse, odeurs ou roches), mais c’est un problème général de Riviera Maya! Les nombreuses piscines compensent pour la situation, 13 incluant tous les swim out, 3 piscines grand public.
Les activités de plage ou excursions de l’hôtel sont bien et moins chers que ceux des voyagistes.
Le gym est bien équipé, mais vu restreinte sur la cours du spa, donc plutôt intérieur comme experience.
Sinon, c’est loin de Playa del Carmen, mais l hotel offre la navette pour 5USD allée.

A very nice hotel, clean and quiet, but the clientele is mainly quite elderly (over 50 years old).
