I'll start by saying that there was a $40 charge at the hotel that I wasn't aware of. There were certain alcoholic drinks I wasn't entitled to. There was a coffee bar in the lobby, and I had to pay for the coffee, which was from a Nespresso machine. So no espresso, Martini, or iced coffee. There was no beer in the room's refrigerator, only soft drinks.

Room: The air conditioning worked perfectly, the beds were very firm, the look was a bit dated but the furnishings were good quality, the air-conditioned buffet area was small and reserved for VIP guests, most of the seating was outside in the humidity, the buffet was small, the food was good but repetitive, there were two decent à la carte restaurants, the pool needs some repairs, there were potential injuries from missing or broken ceramic tiles, etc. The resort is beautiful and very well integrated into the jungle, the atmosphere is very pleasant day and night, the staff is incredible, helpful, smiling, efficient, and very friendly. The resort is quiet, however, there are many vendors selling things on the beach by locals: jewelry, coconut water, parasailing, excursions, etc. There are several parasols available, unlike some other nearby resorts.

Chambre: Air climatisée fonctionnelle à souhait, lits très fermes, look désuet mais mobilier de qualité, espace climatisé du buffet restreint alloué aux voyageurs VIP, la majorité des places se trouvent à l'extérieur à l’humidité, petit buffet, nourriture bonne mais répétitive, 2 restos à la carte corrects, la piscine aurait besoin de travaux de réfection, blessures possibles carreaux de céramiques manquants, brisés etc. Site magnifique très intégré dans la jungle ambiance jour et soir très agréable, personnel incroyable, serviable, sourriant, efficace très sympathique. Site tranquille, par contre beaucoup de "ventes" sur la plage des locaux; Bijoux, eau de coco, parasailling, excursions, etc. Plusieurs parasols disponibles, contrairement à d'autres resorts environnants.

About an hour from the airport. Beautiful sea view from the main restaurant. Mother Nature sent a lot of Sargassum seaweed, 6 days a week, but staff were busy collecting it, and there were two lovely swimming pools to take over. Plenty of drinking water stations to refill our water bottles. Surrounded by mature trees and relaxation areas. Definitely worth a return visit!

À environ 1 heure de l’aéroport. Très belle vue sur la mer du restaurant principal.
Mère Nature a envoyé beaucoup de Sargasses, 6 jours sur 7, par contre des employés s’affairaient à les ramasser, et 2 belles piscines pour prendre la relève.
Beaucoup de stations d’eau potable pour emplir nos gourdes.
Entouré d’arbres matures et d’espaces détente.
À revisiter!

The beach is a great place, with plenty of activities, but the food... only two à la carte restaurants, and they weren't very good, plus the buffet was the worst I've ever had in Playacar.
