First time in Costa Rica and first time staying at a Riu. The hotel is so beautiful and clean. The room was magnificent. The food is good, with something to try every day, but it could be repetitive without any problem for us. The beach is very beautiful with its black sand and crystal-clear water. Monkeys are just a 5-minute walk away. Mountains surround the place. We absolutely loved it.

More... Less...L’hotel est tellement belle et propre . La chambre magnifique. La nourriture est bonne, capable de trouver quelque chose a chaque jour mais peut etre répétitif sans probleme pour nous. La plage est tres belle avec son sable noir et l’eau transparente. Des singes a 5 min de marche . Des montagnes qui entourent l’endroit . Un gros coup de coeur pour nous.

The beach is beautiful but rather short, and in my opinion, you need to be skilled and comfortable in the water because sometimes the waves, along with the high and low tides, make it quite intense, but so much fun. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. With all the restaurants on site, it's impossible for anyone not to find something they like; the food is good and plentiful. The staff is a bit reserved; it's hard to get a smile out of them, but the service is there. We'll definitely be back!
La plage est très belle mais peu longue et selon moi, faut être habile et à l’aise dans l’eau parce que parfois les vagues, ainsi que la marée haute et marée basse font que c’est intense, mais tellement amusant. L’hôtel est beau et très propre. Avec tous les restaurants sur le site, il est impossible que personne ne trouve son compte, la nourriture est bonne et abondante. Le personnel est un peu froid, c’est difficile d’avoir un sourire, mais le service est là.

Different...we loved it
Différents...on a adoré
We liked... Positive: the staff, the decor, the new room, the drinks... the entertainment for the Riu party. Lots of fun and a great atmosphere. Negative: the beach was okay for swimming, no sargassum seaweed though, but lots of vendors, and it's a public beach... The à la carte restaurants were our biggest disappointment... apart from the steakhouse, there was no table service... The other restaurants are buffets that are quite similar to the main buffet... 😉 We ate, but we've eaten better... but that's not a reason why I wouldn't go back... We took a taxi to go surfing at Tomparano beach and see the shell beach... [surfing lessons] It was worth the 1 hour 45 minute drive... a magnificent day... If you're hesitating... I encourage you to take the plunge and go to the Cost Rica...

Négatif, la plage correct pour la baignade aucun sargasse par contre mais beaucoup de vendeur, plage public...
Restaurant a la carte, notre plus grande déception...a part le steak house, aucun service a la table....Les autres Restaurant, c est des buffets qui ressemblent pas mal au buffet principal....😉
On a mangé, mais deja mangé mieux...mais ce n est pas un point qui ferait que j y retournerai pas...
De notre côté, on a prit un taxi été faire sur surff a la plage de tomparano et voir la plage coquillage....[ cours de surff ]
Ca en valait la route de 1h45....magnifique comme journée...
Vous hésiter...je vous encourage a faire le saut vers le costs rica...
