Riu Merengue

The shows were good in the second week only, I really liked the resort, I recommend it Positive: the site is very beautiful, the beach bar, the friendly staff, the cleanliness Negative: the Dominicans who come on Saturday and invade the pool and make noise early in the morning and the water at the beach is not always clean

Very disappointed to have arrived during the hotel sale. Indeed, the Riu was becoming an El Senators during our week of vacation and the service suffered greatly. We were short of beds (3 singles when there were 4 of us and I had requested 2 doubles), the mini bar which had to be refilled every day, the etsit every two days and finally we were forgotten for three days, without drinking water. The room was freshly painted but extremely outdated, in no way in accordance with the reservation. However, the staff was extremely warm and kind. The food at the buffet was okay, but since we were located in the Village, there was no change to the menu. The a la carte restaurant was rubbish, way too overpriced for the poor quality of the menu. Being used to Riu Hotels, we were very disappointed overall. Positive: Lovely, warm staff. Lots of shade due to the abundance of beautiful vegetation. Negative: Food, beds and bedding, facilities very far from each other. Extremely rocky beach with corals, no waves.

Très déçue d’être arrivée durant la vente de l’hôtel. Effectivement, le Riu devenait un El Senators durant notre semaine de vacances et le service en a grandement souffert. Nous avons manqué de lits (3 simples lorsque nous étions 4 et que j’avais demandé 2 doubles) le mini bar qui devait être rempli à chaque jour, l’etsit aux deux jours pour finalement nous oublier durant trois jours, sans eau potable. La chambre était fraîchement repeinte mais extrêmement désuète, nullement conforme à la réservation. Toutefois, personnel extrêmement chaleureux et gentil. Nourriture correcte au buffet, mais comme nous étions localiser au Village, il n’y avait aucun changement au menu. Restaurant à la carte, n’importe quoi, beaucoup trop surévalué pour la piètre qualité du menu. Étant habitués aux Hitels Riu, nous avons été très déçus dans l’ensemble. Positif : Personnel adorable, chaleureux. Beaucoup d’ombre due à l’abondance de la magnifique végétation. Négatif : Nourriture, lits et literie, installations très loin les unes des autres. Plage extrêmement rocailleuse avec coraux, sans vagues.

General neglect in terms of room maintenance. Empty fridge upon arrival, after three calls to service and two days of waiting our fridge was refilled. Bring empty plastic bottles to avoid running out of water. Positive: Very decent buffet Negative: Beach if you like swimming move to the Riu Mambo side. There are no rocks in the sea on that side

Laisser aller généralisé au niveau de l'entretien des chambres. Frigo vide à l'arrivée, après trois appels au service et deux jours d'attente notre frigo a été rempli. Apportez-vous des bouteilles vides en plastique pour vous éviter de manquer d'eau. Positif : Buffet très correct Négatif : Plage si vous aimez la baignade déplacez-vous du côté du Riu Mambo. Il n'y a pas de roches dans la mer de ce côté-là
