Riu Palace Mexico

During my stay at this hotel, from April 26th to May 2nd, the hotel had begun its renovations. Consequently, some restaurants were closed. There was hardly anyone at the hotel, so there wasn't the warm atmosphere one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Some renovations had even started before my departure. If I had known the hotel would be closing, I wouldn't have gone. This stay was not worth the approximately $3,000 I paid for a 5-star experience. I am extremely disappointed with my stay. Some nights, the air conditioning wasn't working. I expected more from a Riu Palace 5-star. On May 1st, only one restaurant was open for dinner. On May 2nd, only the small café was open for breakfast, and the food wasn't fresh. I would like to receive compensation for my very unpleasant stay. Thank you for considering my comments. Lors de mon séjour à cet Hotel, du 26 avril au 2 mai, la fermeture de l'hotel pour rénovation était amorcé. Par conséquent, certains restaurants étaient fermés. Il n'y avait presque personne à cet hotel, donc il n'y avait pas d'ambiance chaleureuse comme on devrait s'y attendre pour un hôtel 5 *. Certains travaux sont même commencés avant mon départ de l'hotel. Si j'avais su que l'hôtel fermerait, je n'y serait pas allé. Ce séjour ne valait pas les quelques 3000$ que j'ai payé pour un 5*.
Je suis extrèmement déçu de mon séjour. Certaines nuit, l'air climatisé n'était pas fonctionnel. Je m'attendais à plus pour un Riu Palace 5*. Le 1e mai au souper. un seul restaurant était ouvert. le 2 mai au déjeuner, seulement le petit café était ouvert, avec des produits qui n'était pas frais.

J'aimerais recevoir un dédommagement pour mon séjour qui n'a pas été très agréable.

The à la carte restaurants are very disappointing.

Les restaurants à la carte sont très décevant.

This was our fourth visit to this hotel. We like the location. The food is excellent. However, there is very little shade on the beach. On our last visit, there was a lot of sargassum seaweed, which made walking on the beach and swimming very difficult. Although we like the location, we don't plan to return because of the lack of shade on the beach and the lack of sargassum removal.

C’était notre quatrième visite à cet hôtel. Nous aimons le site. La bouffe est excellente. Par contre il a très peu d’ombre à la plage. À notre dernière visite il y avait beaucoup de sargasses ce qui rendait la marche sur la plage et la baignade très difficile. Bien que nous aimons le site, nous ne planifons pas y retourner à cause du manque d’ombre à la plage et du manque de nettoyage des sargasses.

Everything was perfect at the hotel, beautiful beach, plenty of space to lie down, beautiful white sand and impeccable service on the beach.

Tout était parfait à l'hôtel, belle plage, beaucoup de places disponibles pour s'allonger, un beau sable blanc et un service impeccable sur la plage.
