Unfortunately, the pool was very dirty throughout our stay. The ground around the pool was also full of rubbish. It's a shame because otherwise it's a beautiful place.

The hotel has its good points but several shortcomings. I suggest doing your research before booking to see if it's right for you. It's nowhere near as good as the Riu Latino in Cancun. Positive: The bars, the food is decent, the atmosphere. Negative: Insufficient maintenance, insufficient service, unfriendly staff, often slow Wi-Fi, lots of cigarette butts, no one to enforce the pool rules. In short, if you get a good price and these negatives don't bother you, you'll be satisfied.
