The hotel is very good overall. The buffets offer typical Latin American cuisine, with standards that may be quite different from what a North American might expect. However, if you like Latin American food, it's excellent! About 99% of the guests seem to be of Panamanian or Colombian origin, and there are many families. The coffee and beverage service is sometimes a little slow. Small self-service areas for coffee and water would be a good idea and would relieve the staff, who sometimes seem a bit short-staffed. That said, the employees are all very kind and attentive. The beach is very large and beautiful, despite the presence of black sand in some places. This is quite normal since it's a volcanic region. Surprisingly, we met three guides who spoke French, which was a pleasant surprise. As I mentioned earlier, the vast majority of the clientele is Latin American, mainly Panamanian and Colombian. Overall, we had a very good stay and particularly enjoyed the family atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful beach.

Le service du café et des boissons est parfois un peu lent. De petits espaces en libre-service pour le café et l’eau pourraient être une bonne idée et permettraient de soulager le personnel, qui semble parfois manquer un peu de ressources. Cela dit, les employés sont tous très gentils et attentionnés.
La plage est très grande et magnifique, malgré la présence de sable noir à certains endroits. C’est tout à fait normal puisqu’il s’agit d’une région volcanique.
Étonnamment, nous avons rencontré trois guides qui parlaient français, ce qui nous a agréablement surpris. Comme je le mentionnais plus haut, la grande majorité de la clientèle est latino-américaine, principalement panaméenne et colombienne.
Dans l’ensemble, nous avons passé un très bon séjour et avons particulièrement apprécié l’ambiance familiale, la gentillesse du personnel et la magnifique plage.

First, there needs to be much more shade (palapas) at the beach. Second, and this is the most important point for me, there's a danger at the water slides. I'm referring to the green slide, which seemed to me the faster of the two. Due to its design, the speed at which you hit the water in the "landing" pool is dangerously high. This surely explains the constant presence of a lifeguard stationed directly in the water, near the "landing" area. As for me, I came out of there (I was pulled out) extremely dazed after my head hit the bottom of the pool. I was confused and disoriented. Je parle de la glissade verte, qui m'est apparue la plus rapide des deux. De par sa configuration, la vitesse de contact avec l'eau de la piscine ''de réception'' est dangereusement trop élevée. C'est sûrement ce qui explique la présence constante d'un sauveteur placé directement dans l'eau, près du lieu d'''amerrissage''. Pour ma part, je suis sorti de là ( on m'a sorti) extrêmement sonné après que ma tête aie frappé le fond de la piscine. J'étais confus et désorienté. Un médecin de la clinique adjacente au site m'a examiné et constaté une commotion (cérébrale?) Précisions : homme; 5pi. 10 po.; 160 lb.

What we didn't like was that the services were too slow; we wasted a lot of time waiting to get service.

Lots of walking; if you have difficulty walking, request a ground-floor room facing the pool.
