The waiter Juan was very poorly served. He didn't smile at all, served others before me, and completely ignored me. However, he was supposed to be attentive to the customers. I wasn't inclined to tip him.

Le serveur JUAN très mal servi par lui. Il n'a aucun sourire, sert les autres avant moi. Il m'ignore au plus haut point. Parcontre, il est au services des clients. J'étais pas tentée de lui donner un pourboire.

You changed our hotel four times only to cancel our trip three days beforehand. So you can imagine the comments I'll be leaving on Discount Travel.

This is our second time at this hotel. We love the place. It's certainly not a 5-star hotel. There aren't as many activities and restaurants, but we found our place to recharge. Quiet place, wonderful sea, great staff. You can see fish in front of the hotel, sea view from all the rooms. Magnificent.

C'est notre 2e fois à cet hôtel. Nous adorons l'endroit. C'est certain que ce n'est pas un 5 étoile. Il n'y a pas autant d'activités et de restaurants, mais nous avons trouvé notre lieu pour se ressourcer. Endroit tranquille, mer formidable, personnel génial. On peut voir des poissons devant l'hôtel, vue sur la mer dans toutes les chambres. Magnifique.

*our second time coming to this hotel, here is why*
1)Perfect spot for scuba diving, for beginners and experienced divers. There was a huge variety of life in front of the hotel, even when it wasn’t deep at all so if you want to show your kids how to scuba dive this is the perfect spot. You can see squid up to 2 feet long, needle fish on top of water, crabs, parrot fish, stingrays big and small, puffer fish(porcupine), wrasses, damsels, angels, butterfly fish, schools of blue tangs, plenty of juvenile fish because they have spaces to hide, etc. We would spend 2 hours everyday in the ocean just watching all the creatures live their life. Since we spend all our time in the water, this hotel was perfect for us having so much life just in front. They’re is also a huge beach right beside at Cornwall that we can use if you prefer to stay on the beach. The only critic I have is that they’re is a bit of garbage in the water(not only here) because of cruises and hotels put their junk in the water to get rid of it, which is sad. We tried to clean up a bit, but it was hard without the tools we needed. I would recommend to put someone on this 2 hours a week and it will be much better.
Btw, if you have any questions on marine life around the hotel, the lifeguards know a lot about it so you can ask them and they are so nice & helpful. They also can recommend restaurants and other stuff in Jamaica since they know the place by heart.
2) The food is AMAZING! Don’t miss out on breakfast, the French toast is the best in the world, I had an omelet made for me everyday, they always had fresh fruit, porridge, bread, etc. Also don’t miss out on the bread, they clearly make it there and it’s soooo delicious. Their diner(evening) were so good. They always had jerk chicken and pork, they always made sides with veggies, other tasty recipes of chicken or pork, they had fresh fish, etc. It was amazing ! They have the action station that serves you fresh cut food every day, they had meat and pasta you can choose your ingredients. The cooks were friendly and professional. Please tip the action station they work so hard and please tip your servers they also work very hard to make our trip the best possible. Please tip them, it changes a lot for them.
The staff in general is helpful and very nice.
3)Rooms (3rd floor) the view is amazing. The sunsets were out of this world. If you’re on the 3rd or 4th floor, you’ll be able to observe a variety of birds fly in and out all day. If your in the first floor, your lucky because they have 3-4 cats on the premise and they’re so cute.The AC worked great. The only downside were the cold showers. We didn’t ask anyone about this because it was so hot outside that cold showers were okay. We didn’t want to change rooms and make a fuss out of nothing but maybe we should have asked. Anyways, it’s on us. The front desk will help with anything! (Example:order food from a restaurant you want to try (try the KFC it’s a classic and well renowned))

Finally, if you’re hesitating, take the trip, book this hotel, you won’t regret it!! This was one of my all time favourite trips, thanks to Royal Decameron Beach ! Thank you to all the staff, the cooks, it was amazing ! We will be back for a third time someday.

We really enjoyed our vacation. The food was above our expectations in terms of taste and variety. However, it was always the same dishes that came back every day. The staff in general were friendly. Some employees were hardworking and efficient. However, this is not true for all employees. It sometimes took a long time to be served and some never came back to serve us. When there were more people, there was a shortage of food, plates, bowls, etc. On the beach, which is supposedly private, we were harassed every day by two locals to buy cannabis. The room was good but not the cleanest and some days the room was not cleaned. When we arrived and left, the water in the room was cut off so we couldn't take a shower before leaving. Despite these small inconveniences, we had a great vacation.

On a bien aimé nos vacances. La nourriture était au dessus de nos attentes au niveau du goût et de la variété. Par contre ce sont toujours les mêmes plats qui reviennent chaque jour. Le personnel en général sont sympathiques. Certains employés sont travaillants et efficaces. Toutefois ceci n’est pas pour tous les employés. Il était parfois très long pour être servi et même certains ne sont jamais revenu nous servir. Lorsqu’il y avait plus de monde, il manquait de nourriture, assiettes, bol…. Sur la plage qui se dit privé, on se faisait harceler chaque jour par deux locaux pour acheter du cannabis. La chambre était bien mais pas la plus propre et certains jour la chambre n’a pas été nettoyé. A notre arrivée et à notre départ, l’eau dans la chambre était coupée donc on ne pouvait pas prendre de douche avant de quitter. Malgré ces petits inconvénients, nous avons eu des belles vacances.
