Wonderful vacation!
Très belles vacances!
It's a shame there was sargassum seaweed on the beach, so we only used the pools. The hotel is clean. We opted for the Diamond Club package, and it was great to have an à la carte restaurant for lunch and dinner, in addition to an hour at the spa for hydrotherapy. The steakhouse and the Indian restaurant were our favorites, but everything was very good. I highly recommend this hotel.
Dommage qu’il y avait de la sargasse à la plage, alors nous avons utilisé seulement les piscines.
More... Less...L’hôtel est propre, Nous avons pris l’option Diamond Club et c’était super d’avoir un restaurant à la carte pour déjeuner et dîner aussi, en plus d’une heure au centre de spa pour faire l’hydrothérapie.
Le steakhouse et le restaurant indien ont été nos préférés, mais c’était très bon partout. Je recommande cet hôtel sans hésiter.

Sargassum seaweed ++++ but all in all a very good trip
Sargasses ++++ mais somme toute très bien comme voyage
Having stayed there in 2018, the hotel has changed a lot! Sometimes for the better, sometimes not so much… As for the sargassum seaweed, even though they pay for trucks to collect it, it's unfortunately useless because there's so much of it. So we went to Isla Mujeres to enjoy the sea, but at a very high price. We found the people from Prime (like Time Sharing) very pushy, even arrogant! They don't take "no" for an answer! The waiters and bartenders seemed completely exhausted! No one was smiling! Our biggest highlights were Samuel (a waiter at the gourmet buffet), he was simply perfect! And also Iris Castillo (who works for the hotel and also Prime), but who was really very kind to us! If we were to go back, we would probably go to Splash, which is right next door! As for the noise/nightlife, it was hell; we had trouble sleeping because there were so many people banging and drumming everywhere. The food was just wow, exactly as I remembered it!
Pour y avoir été en 2018, l’hôtel a beaucoup changé! Quelques fois positif et quelques fois moins… Pour ce qui est des sargasses, ils ont beau payer des camions pour ramasser, ça ne sert à rien malheureusement tellement il y en a. Nous avons donc été à Isla Mujeres pour pouvoir profiter de la mer, mais à très grand prix $$$. Avons trouvé les gens de Prime (style Time Sharing) très insistants, voir même arrogants! They dont take NO for an answer!!!!!! Les serveurs et barman semblent au bout de leur vie! Personne de souriant! Nos gros highlights sont Samuel (serveur au gourmet Buffet) il est tout simplement parfait! Et aussi Iris Castillo (qui travaille pour l’hôtel et aussi Prime) mais qui a été vraiment très gentille avec nous!
More... Less...Avoir à y retourner, nous irions probablement plus au Splash juste à côté ! Pour ce qui est du bruit/night Life, c’était l’enfer on avait de la misère à dormir tellement il y avait du monde qui buchait / frappait partout. La nourriture juste wow comme à mon souvenir !!!!!!

A very pleasant stay at the Royalton
Séjour très agréable au royalton
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royalton. Our biggest complaint was the staff's constant attempts to sell us activities and spa massages. Not to mention their relentless pressure to attend their site tour to sell us "Time Sharing," which apparently lasts three hours and requires our credit card number even before the scheduled meeting. We refused.
Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour au Royalton. Le point qui nous a le plus dérangé est le personnel qui est toujours entrain de vouloir nous vendre des activités et des massages au spa. Sans parler de leur acharnement à vouloir que nous nous présentions à leur visite du site pour nous vendre du « Time sharing » qui apparemment dure 3 heures et qui nous demande notre numéro de carte de crédit avant même la fameuse rencontre. Ce que nous avons refusé.

Wonderful vacation
Très belle vacances
I had a wonderful holiday at this resort. The room was spotless. The pool was large with plenty of shaded areas. Towels were readily available. There was ample seating.
J’ai passé de très belle vacances sur ce site. Chambre impeccable. Piscine vaste avec possibilité d’être à l’ombre . Serviette à volonté . Place assise disponible
