Royalton Saint Lucia

Family trip with a 2-year-old. The hotel and rooms are beautiful. Amazing main pool. Good steakhouse restaurant. Always room at the beach or pool. Relaxing place for couples having anniversaries or honeymoon.

Voyage en famille avec un enfant de 2 ans. L'hôtel et les chambres sont belle. Piscine principal incroyable. Bon restaurant steak house. Toujours de la place à la plage ou à la piscine. Place relax pour couple ayant des anniversaires ou lune de miel.

SERVICE: Lunch and dinner had to be taken at the buffet and the service was rather average. The waiters/waitresses were polite and courteous but we had to constantly ask for service and on many occasions we had to repeat our requests several times to get service. Considering the price paid for the stay and the type of hotel our expectations were high and were not met. BEACH: Regarding the beach, it was clean but it was often difficult to find chairs in the shade. The beach was located very close to the main pool and all day long we could hear very loud music and entertainment. It is ok to have constant noise at the main pool but we should have access to it by choice and not have it imposed on us while we were at the beach. We are looking for a peaceful spot at the beach where we only hear the sound of the waves and this was definitely not the case. TOWELS: It was almost an impossible mission to get a clean towel for the beach. The distribution points were constantly running out of clean towels, and we had to spend several days with the same towels before we could finally get clean ones. In desperation, I had to go to reception to complain and finally get clean towels. Again, considering the price paid for our holiday and the type of luxurious hotel, we were very disappointed with this aspect.

SERVICE:
Les déjeuners et repas du midi devaient être pris au buffet et le service était plutôt moyen. Les serveurs/serveuses étaient polis et courtois mais nous devions constamment demander pour le service et en de nombreuses occasion on devait répéter nos demandes plusieurs fois pour obtenir du service. Considérant le prix payé pour le séjour et le type d'Hotels nos attentes étaient élevées et n'ont pas été rencontrées.

PLAGE:
En ce qui concerne la plage, c'était propre mais il était souvent difficile de trouver des chaises à l'ombre. La plage était situé tout près de la piscine principale et toute la journée nous entendions la musique très fort et l'animation. C'est OK d'avoir du bruit constant à la piscine principale mais on devrait y avoir accès par choix et non se faire imposer ce bruit lorsqu'on était à la plage. Nous recherchons un endroit paisible à la plage ou on n'entend que le bruit des vagues et ce n'était vraiment pas le cas.
SERVIETTES:
C'était presque une mission impossible d'obtenir une serviette propre pour la plage, les points de distribution étaient constamment a court de stock de serviettes propres et nous devions passer plusieurs jours avec les mêmes serviettes avant de pouvoir enfin en obtenir des propres. En désespoir de cause j'ai du me présenter à la réception pour faire une plainte et finalement obtenir des serviettes propres. Encore une fois, considérant le prix payé pour nos vacances et le type d'hôtel luxueux, nous avons été très déçus de cet aspect.

We traveled to this hotel for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful week at this beautiful hotel. The buffet and restaurants were very good (we ate at Hunter's Restaurant three times). The hotel is very clean and so are the rooms. There are several interesting excursions on the island of Saint Lucia. We did the "Tout Bagay" excursion which was superb. I recommend this hotel and excursion for your stay in Saint Lucia.

Nous avons voyagé à cet hôtel pour notre honeymoon. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cet hôtel magnifique. Le buffet et les restaurants étaient très bons (nous avons mangé au restaurant Hunter à trois reprises). L'hôtel est très propre et les chambres aussi. Plusieurs excursions intéressantes sur l'ile de Saint Lucia. Nous avons fait l'excursion ''Tout Bagay'' qui était superbe. Je vous recommande cet hôtel et excursion pour votre séjour à Saint Lucia.

Excellent hotel on a fantastic island. Positive: All rooms have sea views, impeccable hotel, very clean, very good food, friendly staff, private beach for the Diamond Club. Several activities to do during the week. Exceptional weather in January, availability +++ of kayaks and catamarans. Very beautiful place! Negative: Service sometimes a little uneven at the restaurant, especially when you want to order wine from the menu. Evening shows could be better….

Excellent hôtel sur une île fantastique. Positif : Toutes les chambres ont vue sur mer, hôtel impeccable, très propre, nourriture très bonne, personnel aimable, plage privée pour le Club Diamond. Plusieurs activités à faire durant la semaine. Température exceptionnelle en janvier, disponibilité +++ de kayaks et catamarans. Très bel endroit! Négatif : Service parfois un peu inégal au resto, surtout lorsqu'on souhaite commander du vin à la carte. Spectacles en soirée pourraient être mieux….
