Sandals Regency La Toc

when I arrived at the sandals toc I was already in ste Lucia last 7 days I had to pass that rodeney-bay in a small hotel on a beautiful beach but then I was very disappointed of course to see the beach at sandal especially as I expected is that everything is better now. As against the evening we were received with a fabuleu steak with blue cheese sauce food was fabulous all week the service impeccable and the beautiful room. Positive: The food, the greatness and beauty of the rooms, the service, the beauty of everything to ensure you a stay as romantic as possible. NB we took a one hour massage in the gazebo on the sea not to be missed in addition to being romantic massage therapist are great and can relax like never listening to the waves Negative: the beach, the rooms facing the pool are very bruillante, my partner who is a great golf enthusiast was somewhat disappointed with the course.

lors de mon arrivé au sandals la toc j'était déja à ste-lucie depuis 7 jours que je venais de passer à rodeney-bay qui dans un petit hotel mais sur une plage splendide alors je fut bien sur très décu de voir la plage au sandal surtout que je m'attendait à se que tout soit mieu. Par contre le soir nous avons été recu avec un fabuleu steak avec sauce au fromage bleu la nourriture a été fabuleuse tout la semaine le service impécable, et les chambre splendide. Positif : La nourriture, la grandeur et la beauté des chambres, le service, la beauté du site tout est fait pour que vous passiez un séjour le plus romantique possible. N.B. nous avons pris une heure de massage dans les gazébo sur la mer à ne pas manquer en plus d'être romantique les massothérapeute sont super et vous relaxerez comme jamais en écoutant le bruit des vagues Négatif : la plage, les chambres qui font face à la piscine sont très bruillante, mon conjoint qui est un très grand amateur de golf fut quelque peu déçu par le parcours.

Positive: Food in general though, all the same buffet, medium size room overlooking the pool, beach or garden. Friendly staff. Near downtown St. Lucia, near the port. Beautiful island, very mountainous, lush vegetation. Negative: Not very large beach, take shuttel to go to a restaurant because mountainous, very dificult to have reservations for dinner, take the bus to other hotels in the chain about 45 min. The hotel is very far from the airport.

Positif : Bouffe en général bien, buffet du pareil au même, chambre grandeur moyenne avec vue sur la piscine, la plage ou le jardin. Personnel agréable. Près du centre ville de Ste-Lucie, près du port. Très belle ile, très montagneux, végétation abondante. Négatif : Plage pas très grande, prendre le shuttel pour aller au resto parce que montagneux, très dificile avoir des réservations pour souper, prendre la navette pour aller dans les autres hôtels de la chaîne environ 45 min. L`hôtel est très loin de l`aéroport.

Positive: Beautiful landscapes, beautiful island, which is unusual. Own site. Negative: Summers were very disappointed with Sandals, we really expected more from them for kle price. The buffet is small and very little change especially for a 5 stars. In the morning there were still lots of bugs in fruit dishes, birds come to eat on the tables and there are 5 cats constantly walking around the buffet tables between begging for food. The a la carte restaurants by cons are pretty good but quite hard to book and there seems to be favoritism in granting reservations. During the seven days it was never possible to swim at the beach and to practice some water sports whatsoever ... he had to do 30 minutes morning and evening to go to other sandals to enjoy the beach and activitées. The rooms are nice but the daily housekeeping is poor. There is no service around the pool and the beach you must go to one bar open to the pool (long wait). In short it is at most a 4-star and it's not worth the trouble of paying top dollar to go to cwet place.

Positif : Très beaux paysages, belle ile qui sort de l`ordinaire. Site propre. Négatif : Avons étés très déçu par le Sandals, on s`attendait à vraiment plus de leur part pour kle prix. Le buffet est petit et très peu varié surtout pour un 5 étoiles. Le matin il y avait toujours tout plein de bestioles dans les plats de fruits, les oiseaux viennent manger sur les tables et il y a 5 chats en permanence au buffet qui se promènent entre les tables pour quémander de la nourriture. Les restos à la carte par contre sont assez bons mais assez difficile de les réserver et il semble y avoir du favoritisme pour octroyer les réservations. Durant les 7 jours il n`a jamais été possible de se baigner à la plage et d`y pratiquer quelque sport nautique que se soit... il fallait faire 30 minutes matin et soir pour aller aux autres sandals pour profiter de la plage et activitées. Les chambres sont bien mais le ménage quotidien laisse à désirer. Il n`y a aucun service autour de la piscine et à la plage il faut aller au seul bar ouvert à la piscine (longue attente). Bref il s`agit au plus d`un 4 étoiles et ça ne vaut vraiment pas la peine de payer le gros prix pour aller à cwet endroit.

Also, my partner is an avid golfer so we usually choose destinations accordingly. In all honesty, the golf course in St. Lucia is very wet in January (the one in Jamaica was better drained)! But the view is magnificent and you are just a stone's throw from your room. Also, if you are lucky enough to have Steven as your caddy, he is great and super patient: I played with him twice and I am terrible. For the room, I insisted on a Premium Honeymoon Patio Room: awesome. Plasma TV, renovated room, patio with table and chairs, mini fridge with water, juice and soft drinks restocked daily and according to your preferences. The patio rooms directly overlook the spa and there is no one there in the evening: you can go as a couple to the hot and cold baths after dinner (super romantic!!!). For the food: you absolutely have to go to La Toc and for the other restaurants, our favorite was the Arizona (whatever the reviews on Trip Advisor say!)... The steak is awesome and the fish too (super well grilled... An essential tip: ask for the sauce on the side and lemon wedges (for the fish). Donnalyn is super nice and will offer you the little table at the end with a view of the beach if you are nice to her. For the tour: for $25 more than a herd tour, book a romantic tour for two and you are alone with the driver who stops wherever you want for photos and everything... We ate our picnic on the beach at Jalousie Plantation between the two Pitons: a MUST!!! If you have the opportunity, pay for the taxi to this beach and spend the day there, making sure to bring fins, mask and snorkel (there is a whole area at the foot of the volcanoes that is reserved for snorkeling!). The beach is beautiful and quite long for walks if you go there and back. If you like waves, it's paradise! For the bar, it's a Sandal's: no pre-mixed drinks, great Margaritas, very good Martinis, good quality wine all day, Piton or Heineken for beer lovers... What more could you ask for? Oh yes! Internet is available in the room (with wire provided by the reception but if you want to go to the patio, bring your long network cable) and you will have wireless access in the lobby and at the pool for 40$US for 7 days (great for sending emails and for the boyfriend who obsessively follows his hockey pools). In short: it was great. It was a Sandal's. And if you are a Returning Guest of Sandal's, go to the party: it's not at all corny, it's very good and you will get nice gifts (I'll leave the surprise to you)... We will definitely go back. Negative: Keep your beach towel and dry it: they are not always available in the morning... At the golf course, the quality of the fairways left something to be desired (too wet but it rains every day for a few minutes so... And the greens are very beautiful). The antipasti at the Italian restaurant is not up to the standard of the one at Dunn's River and the menu was, let's say, not very Italian...

Pour la chambre, j`avais insisté pour avoir une chambre patio Premium Honeymoon : génial. Télé au plasma, chambre rénovée, patio avec table et chaises, mini frigo avec eau, jus et boissons gazeuses approvisionné chaque jour et avec vos préférences. Les chambres patio donnent directement sur le spa et il n`y a personne le soir : vous pouvez aller en amoureux dans les bains chauds et froids au retour du souper (super romantique !!!). Pour la bouffe : il faut absolument aller au La Toc et pour les autres restos, notre préféré était l`Arizona (quoi qu`en disent les critiques sur Trip Advisor !)... Le steak est génial et le poisson aussi (super bien grillé... Un truc essentiel : demander la sauce à côté et des quartiers de citron (pour le poisson). Donnalyn est super fine et vous offrira la petite table du bout avec vue sur la plage si vous êtes gentil avec elle. Pour le tour : pour 25$ de plus qu`un tour en troupeau, réservez un tour en amoureux à deux et vous êtes seuls avec le chauffeur qui s`arrête partout où vous voulez pour les photos et tout... Nous avons mangé notre pique-nique sur la plage du Jalousie Plantation entre les deux Pitons : un MUST !!! Si vous en avez l`occasion, payez-vous le taxi jusqu`à cette plage et passez-y la journée en prenant soin d`apporter palmes, masque et tuba (il y a tout un secteur au pied des volcans qui est réservé à la plongée en apnée !). La plage est belle et bien assez longue pour des marches si vous faites l`aller-retour. Si vous aimez les vagues, c`est le paradis ! Pour le bar, c`est un Sandal`s : pas de drinks pré-mélangés, des super Margaritas, de très bons Martinis, du vin de bonne qualité toute la journée, de la Piton ou de la Heineken pour les amateurs de bière... Que demander de plus ?

Internet est disponible dans la chambre (avec fil fourni par la réception mais si vous voulez vous rendre jusqu`au patio, apportez votre long câble réseau) et vous aurez accès sans fil dans le lobby et à la piscine pour 40$US pour 7 jours (super pour envoyer des courriels et pour le chum qui suit maladivement ses pools de hockey).
Bref : c`était génial.

Et si vous êtes un Returning guest de Sandal`s, allez à la soirée : c`est pas du tout culcul, c`est très bon et vous aurez de beaux cadeaux (je vous laisse la surprise)...

Au golf, la qualité des fairways laissait à désirer (trop mouillé mais il pleut à tous les jours quelques minutes alors... Et les greens sont très beaux). L`antipasti du resto italien n`est pas à la hauteur de celui du Dunn`s river et le menu était, disons, pas très italien...
