Secrets Aura Cozumel

We went during the third week of June. The hotel was relatively empty, about 30% of its capacity according to the staff. Overall, it was a quiet hotel, and the room was generally nice, large, and well-maintained. However, the main building is very noisy due to the strong echo. Very early in the morning (3 a.m.), employees come by with carts full of ice and food, and these carts are very noisy; we recommend earplugs. The food at the à la carte restaurants is excellent (Gohan in particular), but the buffet had limited choices. Hygiene is also questionable, as it's an outdoor buffet, so insects can get in and settle on the fruit or bread. Getting into the water at the beach can be difficult for some; consider bringing water shoes. The sand is quite fine, and the water is incredible. However, some travelers booked spots at both the beach and the pool without actually being present at either location. Therefore, even though the hotel wasn't very busy, there was a shortage of parasols and sun loungers, and increased supervision might be beneficial. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely return.

Nous y sommes allés dans la 3e semaine de juin, l'hôtel était peu achalandé, environ 30% de sa capacité selon le personnel. Hôtel tranquille dans l'ensemble, en général la chambre était belle, grande et bien entretenue. Cependant dans le bloc principal il y a beaucoup de bruit car c'est très écho, très tôt le matin (3h) les employés passent avec leurs chariots remplit de glace et d'aliments et ces chariots font beaucoup de bruitm nous recommandons des bouchons... Pour la nourriture, celle des restaurants à la carte est excellente (le Gohan particulièrement), mais au buffet il y avait peu de choix. La salubrité laisse aussi à désirer car il s'agit d'un buffet extérieur donc les insectes peuvent entrer et s'installer sur les fruits ou le pain. L'entrée à l'eau à la plage peut être difficile pour certain, penser à apporter des souliers d'eau. Le sable est assez fin et l'eau est incroyable. Cependant, certains voyageurs réservaient des places à la plage et à la piscine en même temps sans être présent à une ou l'autre des places donc même si l'hôtel était peu achalandé il manquait de parasol et de transat, une surveillance plus accrue pourrait être intéressante.

Dans l'ensemble nous avons beaucoup aimé notre voyage et nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

Exceptional staff if you're looking for a peaceful place. The location lives up to expectations. The swim-out rooms are incredible. We had a more intimate, secluded section with a private pool and a slide leading directly to the bar and restaurant. I would say the weak point is the restaurants, although I thought I ate well. The buffet is very small and lacks variety. The à la carte restaurants are quite limited. I would give it more of a 4-star rating for the restaurants, but the food is good. As for the sea, water shoes are essential. It's extremely rocky. Plenty of fish for snorkeling enthusiasts.

Un personnel exceptionnel si vous recherchez un endroit tranquille. Un emplacement a la hauteur de vos attentes. Les chambres avec les swimout sont incroyables. Pour notre part, nous avions une section plus intime à l'abri des regards avec une piscine privée et une glissade nous menant directement au bar et restaurant. Je dirais que Le point faible de situe au niveau des restaurants bien que je juge avoir bien mangé. Le buffet est très petit et manque de variétés. Au niveau des restaurants a la carte au fait le tour rapidement. Je donnerais davantage un 4 étoiles au niveau des restaurants Mais la nourriture est bonne. Concernant la mer les souliers d'eau sont obligatoires. C'est extrêmement rocailleux. Beaucoup de poissons pour les amateurs d'apnée.

The food is very good. My only regret is the lack of fresh fruit.

Positive: In the Privilege Club, large cushions with rolled towels and 5-star service from the beach attendant [Salvador]. Watermelon, small desserts, cold towels, and 5-star drink service at the chairs. Incredible sea with lots of fish, large, well-air-conditioned rooms, and a beautiful bathroom. Very clean everywhere. Negative: Less modern resort, little to no entertainment, but if you want peace and quiet, it's perfect. Two restaurants have air conditioning only, and one requires long pants [at 39°C with the humidex in June, not ideal]. The buffet is 2 stars, lacking variety and limited [but very tasty]. Other restaurants are 3.5-4 stars max. Stained tablecloths [Bordeaux, which is the most elegant]. The Privilege Club only offers a few sandwiches [like four that I didn't dare order...] and nothing more. However, the place is air-conditioned and has bar service. So overall: 3.5 stars for the hotel and the attractive price. TRANSPORTATION Negative+: Upon arrival at the airport, the NEXUS representative required us to stand in line outside in the heat next to buses with a maximum capacity of 10 people. We had to connect to our app or scan our tags to get our bus tickets [after 30 minutes of sweating; there were many other travelers]. We had no internet access, a password was required, and he didn't know it. We suggested he keep a passenger list to speed up boarding the air-conditioned buses. We finally managed to get through, but only 10 people at a time [maximum capacity of the minibuses]. Regarding the Sunwing/WestJet trip: Francesco informed the group that for the return journey, we should present the ticket he gave us. Result: At departure, a group of 10 was on a list and left the hotel at 12:40 PM as scheduled. There were eight of us travelers with our tickets, waiting, but no bus for us... the man didn't have our name on his bus ticket and asked, "Where's your representative?" He finished at noon... We were unhappy, and a minibus taxi finally arrived. It was confusing; there was no list, so we boarded 45 minutes later than planned, without really knowing what to expect. 1 star for the SunWing/WestJet - Nexus transportation organization.

Il termine à midi...Ns sommes mécontant et il y a un mini bus taxi qui arrive finalement, c'est confus, pas de liste, on embarque donc 45 min plus tard que prévu, sans trop savoir. 1* pour l'organisation du transport SunWing / WestJet - Nexus.
