Royalton Habana

The hotel looks very nice and the room is comfortable (deluxe room with sea view). However, the staff at the bar and restaurant are very unwelcoming and cold. We often have to wait for several minutes as if we weren't there; no greeting and we are not asked what we would like even if we indicated our presence. You should know that there is no background music and no entertainment in this hotel. The restaurant on the 9th floor was not accessible due to an international convention. We cannot judge the quality of the food and service at this restaurant. The lunch buffet is excellent. Be careful because it is very difficult to obtain Cuban pesos at the hotel (even impossible for us). Be careful with the ATM which can keep your card. Although the hotel is a 5 star, you should expect an environment with a lot of poverty next to the hotel, which is representative of the life that can be found in Havana but it is interesting to be aware of it.

L'hôtel paraît très bien et la chambre est confortable (chambre de luxe avec vue mer). Toutefois, le personnel au service au bar et au restaurant est très peu accueillant et froid. On reste très souvent plusieurs minutes à attendre comme si nous n'étions pas présents; aucune salutation et on nous demande pas ce que l'on souhaite avoir même en signifiant notre présence. Il faut savoir qu'il n'y a aucune musique d'ambiance et aucune animation dans cet hôtel. Le restaurant du 9e n'était pas accessible dû à une convention internationale. Nous ne pouvons juger sur la qualité de la nourriture et du service de ce restaurant. Le buffet du déjeuner est excellent. Attention car il est très difficile d'obtenir des pesos cubain à l'hôtel (voir impossible pour nous). Attention au guichet automatique qui peut garder votre carte. Bien que l'hôtel est un 5 étoiles, il faut vous attendre à un environnement comportant beaucoup de pauvreté à côté de l'hôtel, ce qui est représentatif de la vie qu'on peut retrouver à La Havane mais il est intéressant d'en être avisé.

The hotel was very clean, chic and tasteful decor and very pleasant staff...However...The room was in no way the same as the one on your site...VERY VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT to start the week of vacation.....Although the room received was a very nice room, no WOW effect, very disappointing when you decide to exceed your budget to spoil yourself...And I would have done without the bottle of water (same size, same model as those left every day in the room.) which served as a container for pure bleach, left there by the maid. I drank some and since then, my digestive system has been affected forever...In short, the stay could have been more pleasant because the potential of this hotel is very present, it is also very well located.

L'hotel était très propre, décor chic et de bon goût et personnel très agréable...Toutefois...La chambre n'était en aucun lieu la même que celle sur votre site...TRÈS TRÈS GROSSE DÉCEPTION pour commencer la semaine de vacances.....Quoique la chambre reçue fut une très belle chambre, aucun effet WOW, très décevant lorsque l'on décide de dépasser son budget pour se gâter...Et je me serais bien passer de la bouteille d'eau (même format, même modèle que celles laissées chaque jour dans la chambre.) qui servait de contenant pour l'eau de javel pur, laissé là par la femme de chambre. J'en ai bu et depuis ce temps, mon système digestif en est affecté à jamais...Bref, le séjour aurait pu être plus agréable car le potentiel de cet hotel est bien présent, il est très bien situé également.
