Tesoro Ixtapa

Side temperature, it's great! Sun, heat r you are, we stayed from 10 to 24 January 2015 and only slightly cloudy day. For the beach, there are many waves, I would not dare to go with young children, the waves are strong and sometimes take us away. One of our friends had to get help from a lifeguard, he was playing with his board in the waves and current pushed him away, that he had his board as a float, this allowed him to keep calm and not to panic! Much has played with the waves and makes the body board (we had to buy because the hotel no longer has VS 2008), but a few times the wave overthrew us and say we were a little stunned !! We went to another beach called Playa Zihutanejo La Ropa. Very quiet and we were able to swim without waves because it is located in a small bay. To get there we took the bus that passes in front of our hotel (Tesoro) and then makes another transfer made in the city, really uncomplicated and safe, all Mexicans know this beach, so when entering the bus simply tell the driver that you go there and you will arrive at the point where we must take the second bus. Cost = 10 pesos! Positive: Hotel in general is clean, the beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly and smiling. Very safe city, went to the centro in the shops do some shopping (it's cheaper in Zihuatanejo) and take a drink, everything is done on foot because the hotels are close to the centro. City Zihutanejo which is 20 minutes from Ixtapa is also very safe and take the bus is not complicated and not expensive at all. We also had a meal or two at Playa La Ropa beach and not expensive at all! went to this town, that's fine. The hotel or the BARCELO DORADO SUNSCAPE be my choice to go back another time. Negative: This is a hotel which welcomes primarily as Mexicans, and they are all with their young children, so it screams and talks loudly! If we wanted to go to the buffet in the evening between 19:00 and 20:30 the room is full and is little room. Food very ordinary, we went in 2008 and it was much better, the fact that it is mostly Mexican, the food reflects tourisms therein. We have repairs made by going to the restaurant most evenings card, we were entitled to one time according to the Air Canada representative, but rather have Mexican tourism which gives the type so no problem to go every night. The food is better than buffet is Mexican and Italian, but should not have any illusions, this is Italian Quebec. BAR: The bar by the beach closes at 17:30 and the one in the hotel opens at 17:00, so there are only 2 bars. If you want to stay longer at the beach, you must go to the hotel bar for drink, pretty ordinary! Beach towels they give us upon our arrival are numbered, so we have to stand in line at night to exchange the beach towels, this weird way of working. The towel booth is near the beach is open till 21 pm and the bar closes at 17.30, nothing to understand! Activity in the hotel = cheesy as we have rarely seen! Body board: in 2008 the hotel lent us the boards for fun in the water and now we have to rent them at $ 5 an hour, we finally purchased for less in Zihuatanejo where centro Ixtapa.

Côté température, c'est génial ! Soleil, chaleur sont au r-vous, nous y étions du 10 au 24 janvier 2015 et une seule journée un peu nuageuse. Pour la plage, il y a beaucoup de vagues, je n'oserais pas y aller avec de jeunes enfants, les vagues sont fortes et parfois nous ramènent au loin. Un de nos amis a dû se faire secourir par un sauveteur, il jouait avec sa planche dans les vagues et un courant l'a poussé au loin, le fait qu'il avait sa planche comme flotteur, cela lui a permis de garder son calme et de ne pas paniquer ! On a beaucoup joué avec les vagues et fait du body board (que nous avons dû acheter car l'hôtel n'en a plus VS 2008), mais à quelques reprises la vague nous a renversé et disons que nous étions un peu sonnés!! Nous sommes allés à une autre plage à Zihutanejo qui s'appelle Playa La Ropa. Endroit très calme et nous avons pu nager sans vagues car c'est situé dans une petite baie. Pour s'y rendre nous avons pris le bus qui passe devant notre hôtel (Tesoro) et ensuite on fait un autre transfert rendu en ville, vraiment pas compliqué et sécuritaire, tous les mexicains connaissent cette plage, donc en entrant dans le bus il suffit de dire au chauffeur que vous allez là et il vous débarquera à l'endroit où on doit prendre le 2e bus. Coût = 10 pesos ! Positif : L'hôtel en général est propre, les lits étaient confortables. Le personnel est très gentil et souriant. Ville très sécuritaire, sommes allés au centro dans les boutiques faire un peu de magasinage (c'est moins cher à Zihuatanejo) et prendre un drink, tout se fait à pied car les hôtels sont près du centro. La ville de Zihutanejo qui est à 20 minutes de Ixtapa est aussi très sécuritaire et prendre le bus n'est pas compliqué et pas cher du tout. Nous avons également pris un repas ou deux à la plage Playa La Ropa et pas cher du tout ! allés voir cette ville, c'est très bien. L'hôtel le BARCELO ou le SUNSCAPE DORADO seraient mes choix pour y retourner une autre fois. Négatif : C'est un hôtel qui accueille principalement que des mexicains, et ils sont tous avec leurs jeunes enfants, donc ça crie et parle fort ! Si nous voulions aller au buffet le soir entre 19h00 et 20h30, la salle est pleine et reste peu de place. Bouffe très ordinaire, nous étions allés en 2008 et c'était bien meilleur, le fait que ce soit principalement des mexicains, la nourriture reflète les tourismes qui y sont. Nous nous sommes dépannés en allant au resto à la carte presque tous les soirs, nous avions droit à une seule fois selon le représentant d'air Canada, mais les mexicains aiment mieux avoir du tourisme qui donne du type, donc aucun problème pour y aller tous les soirs. La bouffe est mieux qu'au buffet, c'est mexicain et italien, mais faut pas se faire d'illusion, ce n'est le Italien du Québec. BAR: le bar près de la plage ferme à 17h30 et celui dans l'hôtel ouvre à 17h00, donc il n'y a que 2 bars. Si on veut rester plus longtemps à la plage, on doit se rendre au bar de l'hôtel pour le drink, assez ordinaire ! Les serviettes de plage qu'on nous donne à notre arrivée sont numérotées, on doit donc faire la file le soir pour échanger les serviettes de plage, bizarre cette façon de fonctionner. Le kiosque de serviette qui est près de la plage est ouvert jusqu'à 21 heures et le bar ferme à 17h30, rien à comprendre ! Activité à l'hôtel = quétaine comme nous en avons rarement vu ! Body board: en 2008 l'hôtel nous prêtait les planches pour s'amuser dans l'eau et maintenant nous devons les louer à 5$ l'heure, finalement nous en avons achetés à Zihuatanejo car moins cher là que centro de Ixtapa.

Very clean place, Mexicans are polite, friendly. The sun is out you. Nice hotel Positive: Beautiful beach, good food, great service Mexicans, two excellent restaurants in the map. Negative: Far too many children of Mexicans who do not live and still screaming. The only negative comment.

Endroit très propre, les mexicains sont polis, gentils. Le soleil est au rendez-vous. Bel hôtel Positif : Belle plage, bonne nourriture, beaucoup de service des mexicains, 2 restaurants à la carte excellents. Négatif : Beaucoup trop d'enfants de mexicains qui ne savent pas vivent et qui crient toujours. Le seul commentaire négatif.
