The Sands Barbados

Some staff members were very friendly, however, many had no smiles and didn't seem at all interested in having positive interactions with guests, especially at the bar. Every other day, there were ingredients missing for preparing drinks. We had problems with the assigned room, which was about 10 feet by 10 feet, unsafe, not soundproofed, and without a window. The hotel management made no attempt to accommodate us unless we paid an additional US$100 per night for an upgrade. This room was more like an annex to a main room with a connecting door. The restaurant and buffet staff were very courteous and helpful; however, if you want to eat between meals, bring your own food as the hotel doesn't provide any. The beach is beautiful, and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. However, for those who want to take long walks, it's impossible.

Certains membres du personnel très sympathiques par contre plusieurs n’ont aucun sourire et ne semblent pas du tout être intéressés à avoir des interactions positives avec les clients, surtout au bar. Une journée sur deux manque d’ingrédients pour préparer les boissons.
Nous avons eu des problèmes par rapport à la chambre attribuée qui était d’environ 10 pieds par 10 pieds, non sécuritaire, pas insonorisée et sans fenêtre donnant vers l’extérieur, la direction de l’hôtel n’a pas tenté de nous accommoder à moins de débourser 100$ US par nuit supplémentaire pour un surclassement. Cette chambre était plutôt une annexe à une chambre principale avec porte communicante.
Les responsables du restaurant et buffet étaient très très courtois et avenants, par contre si vous voulez manger entre les repas apporter des choses avec vous car il n’y en a pas d’offert par l’hôtel.
Belle plage et chaises et parasols suffisants. Par contre pour ceux qui veulent prendre de grandes marches c’est impossible.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and they recognize us. If you have a special request, they will do their best to accommodate you.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Le personnel est gentil et ils nous reconnaissent. Si vous avez une demande spéciale ils ferons leur possible de vous accomoder.

The quality for the price is simply a rip-off. We ate out several times at our own expense, no entertainment (beach and evening), recycled meals with no variety, long service, insufficient air conditioning, and minimal room cleanliness. No ice cream, liquor, or water near the rooms. Not great! GO ELSEWHERE...

La qualité va prix est simplement du vol. Nous avons été mangé plusieurs fois à nos frais à l’extérieur, pas d’animations (plage et soirée), recyclage des repas sans variétés, longueur du service, service d’air climatisé insuffisant et propreté des chambres minimales. Pas de glaces, liqueurs et eau près des chambres. Pas terrible! ALLER AILLEURS …

Room and cleanliness No. 1 otherwise it's a hotel for a very quiet rest with very little activity and atmosphere. For us it was what we were looking for. Few dining options but within walking distance of many restaurants and bars for evening entertainment. Beautiful beach, take a room with a sea view, it's an excellent investment!

Chambre et propreté no 1 sinon c’est un hôtel pour se reposer très tranquille très peu d’activité et d’ambiance. Pour nous c’était ce que l’on cherchait. Peu d’options de repas mais à proximité a pieds de nombreux restaurants et bars pour se divertir en soirée. Plage magnifique prenez une chambre vu sur la mer c’est un excellent investissement!
