"Luxury" feel has been a hit and miss throughout our stay.
"Luxury" feel has been a hit and miss throughout our stay.
In a nutshell:
This is a hotel that over promises but underdelivers. "Luxury" feel has been a hit and miss throughout our stay. Butler system is not set up for success and leads to clunky frustrating situations. They cut the water and closed helios for breakfast during our stay and without notice. I will not return.
That said, the staff has been friendly, hardworking, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Beach is nice - not too much seaweed, pool as well, plenty of chairs available. Fun activities by the entertainment team if you're able to get a place. Restaurants & cocktails are generally good (but not great). Bed is uncomfortable after a few nights.
More info:
Upon arrival, we were hungry and just wanted to get to our room, but check-in turned into a lengthy sales pitch for activities and upgrades despite us making it clear that we just wanted to settle in. It took nearly 1.5 hours from arrival before we were finally "freed up". Our stay started on the wrong foot with that and our "ocean view" room which had virtually no ocean view.
The butler service also feels at times more cumbersome than valuable. While I understand the intention behind the service, in practice it added extra steps and occasional miscommunication rather than making things easier. For example, during the first 2 nights the restaurant information differed from the time that had been confirmed to us by our previous butler on WhatsApp and they almost turned us around.
To be clear, this isn't a staff issue in my opinion. Everyone we interacted with is excellent. The challenges seem to come more from the hotel's systems and internal processes, which often feel unnecessarily complicated or confusing even to staff.
Beach is good with only a moderate amount of seaweed. Main pool is nice and there are always plenty of chairs available.
We especially enjoyed breakfast at Helios and Caprichio - although they decided to close Helios for 3-4 days without prior notice due to low occupancy. For the a la carte, the French restaurant is an absolute must, and special thanks to our waiter Ivan for the outstanding service.
We also loved the café and pizza place on the family side. The whole entertainment team was fantastic. I'd also like to thank Pedro, Magdiel and Fernando at Caprichio, Hugo at the front desk, Carmen at the pool, Alavaro at Helios coffee bar.

A site of great beauty
Un site de toute beauté
This is one of the most beautiful resorts I have been to in the south. The TRS and its neighbor the Palladium have a water canal, served by small boats to get from one place to another (it can also be done on foot or by cart). The TRS side is smaller, but all the restaurants reserved for the TRS are on this side. You can, however, go to the small village on the Palladium side for dinner too. This is also where you can watch the cabaret show/dinner (still good if you don't pay too much). As for the restaurants, the food is very good, except for the French restaurant which is extremely disappointing. However, in all the restaurants some items are paid for (for example lobsters, special meat, etc.) it wasn't like that a few years ago, and I hate this practice in an all-inclusive, especially since you pay more for this choice of hotel. We took the Premium service, offered on site (quite expensive, around $600 US per room). However, we appreciated the sections reserved for the beach and swimming pool, and these places are well monitored for compliance with the Premium bracelets, at least we are not paying for nothing like in other resorts! The host is worth the detour, but I will not return there again, because I consider that there are other places to see, and that it is not exceptional enough to return there

Perfect week!!
Semaine parfaite!!
Excellent overall. Very nice hotel. Attentive staff. Minor drawbacks. Need to get up early to get an umbrella on the beach (unless Premium). Unheated pool. Food service sometimes uneven. Slight damp smell in the rooms. Otherwise, very good! I recommend!
Excellent dans l’ensemble. Très bel hôtel. Personnel attentif.
