Too many vendors on this beach. Understandable during the sargassum season, but at least collecting it once a day would have been appreciated. À la carte restaurant, the food was too salty.

Belle semaine, MAIS.....
Overall, the hotel was very good, except for the beach. When I was there in May 2026, they were collecting the seaweed every day, but this time, they weren't collecting it at all... very disappointing. I understand it's the off-season, but they could have made an effort and collected the seaweed. Anyway, I still spent the week at the beach and not at the pool, and it didn't spoil my week. Also, I didn't have hot water in the room, but it was refreshing to take a cold shower. All in all, I had a very nice week and I'm not at all disappointed with my trip.
En général l'hotel était très bien, sauf déçu pour la plage, car lorsque j'y était au mois de Mai 2026, l'on ramassait les algues à tous les jours, puis cette fois-ci, l'on ne ramassait pas les alsues du tout... très décevant. Je comprends que c'est la saison basse, mais ils auraient pu faire un éffort et ramasser les algues. Bref, j'ai tout de même passé la semaine à la plage et non à la piscine et ça n'a pas gaché ma semaine. D'autre part, je n'avais pas d'eau chaude dans la chambre, mais c'était rafraichissant de prendre la douche à l'eau froide. J'ai tout de même passé une très belle semaine et je ne suis pas du tout déçu de mon voyage.

No hot water, terrible superior room.
Pas d’eau chaude, Chambre supérieure terrible.
I took a cold shower every day. The superior room was terrible. There was paint on the phone, and the ceiling was so badly done with roller marks everywhere. There were no bedside lamps with cool white 6000K recessed bulbs and no dimmer switch. It was a dreary atmosphere in the evenings. I had to stand on a chair to push the bulbs back in because they had popped out of the ceiling. There were no decorations or pictures in the room. It's worth noting that there's no longer a beach, but the pools are beautiful.
J’ai pris une douche froide à tous les jours. La chambre supérieure était terrible. De la peinture sur le téléphone et le plafond tellement mal fait avec des coups de rouleau partout. Aucune lampes de chevet avec des encastrés blanc froid de 6000K et aucun variateur d’intensité. C’était une atmosphère médiocre le soir. J’ai monté sur une chaise afin de rentrer les encastrés qui étaient sortis du plafond. Aucune décoration ou tableau dans la chambre. Il faut savoir qu’il n’y a plus de plage mais les piscines sont magnifiques.

Several shortcomings

One-week stay. We were told the beach was devastated by a typhoon. Lots of sargassum seaweed! But it wasn't being cleaned up by the staff. An effort to make the beach more accessible would have been greatly appreciated. In general, the restaurants are good, and the place is clean. However, there's a lack of late-night entertainment. I also sometimes got the impression that asking for a drink at the bar bothered the employee. The most significant drawback, in my opinion, is the lack of hot water and shower pressure! It was impossible to take a proper shower. This definitely needs improvement! The Mexican food at Bucanero was excellent! Overall, I had a good stay. But the beach and the lack of hot water in the showers were very disappointing. Otherwise, it has everything you need. I give it an overall rating of 6/10
Séjour d’une semaine. La plage était détruite par un typhon qu’on nous a dit. Beaucoup de sargasses! Mais non ramassées par le personnel. Un effort pour essayer de rendre la plage plus accessible aurait été fortement apprécié.
More... Less...En général, les restos sont bons, l’endroit est propre. Par contre, manque de shows de fin de soirée. J’ai eu parfois aussi l’impression que demander une boisson au bar dérangeait l’employé en question.
Le défaut le plus monumental à mon avis est le manque d’eau chaude et de pression de la douche ! Impossible de prendre une douche convenable. Point à améliorer absolument!
La bouffe mexicaine au Bucanero était excellente!
En général, j’ai passé un bon séjour. Mais la plage et le manque d’eau chaude dans les douches m’ont beaucoup déçu. Sinon on a tout ce qu’il nous faut.
Je donne une note générale de 6/10
