Viva Azteca By Wyndham

A very pleasant stay. Everything is close by at this hotel. Well-maintained and impeccably clean. Beautiful gardens and vegetation. Some animals on the property. Courteous staff, especially in the à la carte restaurants. No reservations required, which is a plus. We also had access to the Viva Maya hotel (a 7-minute walk down the street) and their restaurants. Reservations are required at the Maya. We ate at 3 restaurants at the Azteka and 4 at the Maya (over 10 days). Most were well air-conditioned. Extremely kind and attentive staff in the restaurants. No complaints about the rooms, very comfortable bed and very effective air conditioning, plenty of hot water. Playacar shops are a 5-minute walk away and those in the largest shopping area are a 25-minute walk. Sargassum seaweed was present and the seawater was murky, but the problem was widespread in Playa del Carmen and therefore beyond the hotel's control. Plenty of shaded chairs on the beach, especially if you arrive early. The food at the buffet is good and varied. The food near the beach is also decent (pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, and a few prepared dishes). The pool area is very pleasant. This hotel offers good value for money and I recommend it.

Séjour très agréable. Tout est à proximité à cet hotel. Bien entretenu, propreté sans reproche. Beaux jardins et végétation. Certains animaux sur le site. Personnel courtois, surtout dans les restaurants à la carte. Aucune réservation requise, ce qui est agréable. Avons également accès à l'hotel viva maya (7 minutes de marche par la rue) ainsi qu'à leurs restaurants. Réservations requises au maya. Avons fait 3 restos au azteka et 4 au maya (sur 10 jours). La plupart bien climatisés. Personnel extrêmement gentil et attentionné dans les restos. Rien à dire sur les chambres, lit très confortable et climatisation très efficace, eau chaude abondante. Boutiques de playacar à 5 min de marche et celles de la plus grosse zone commerciale à 25 min de marche.
Sargasse présent et eau de mer turbide mais le problème fut généralisé a playa del carmen donc hors de contrôle de l'hotel. Chaises avec ombre abondantes à la plage, surtout si vous arrivez tôt. Nourriture au buffet est bonne et variée. Nourriture près de la plage également adéquate (pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs et quelques plats cuisinés). Environnement très agréable à la piscine. Cet hotel offre un bon rapport qualité prix et je le recommande.

A very nice hotel, not too big, which I appreciate! The food is excellent, both at the buffet and the à la carte restaurants. The staff have a great energy, and the premises are very well maintained and clean.

Très belle hôtel, pas très grand, ce que j'apprécie! La nourriture est excellente, tant au buffet qu'aux restaurants à la carte.

Easy access to the sea and a 7-minute taxi ride or 35-minute walk from 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen. The à la carte restaurant is very good and reservations aren't necessary. The hotel is very clean. There's no nightclub and no air conditioning at the buffet, but that's just so you know. The atmosphere is pleasant but very relaxed. Enjoy! And just a little tip: you also have access to the Viva Maya hotel, a 5-minute walk away. Access to the adult pool, bars, buffet, and everything else is included. Viva Maya guests can't access the Azteca, so it's a one-way street. This is great for maintaining the Azteca's peaceful atmosphere. You can rent a free bike to explore the secure area.

Facile d'accès à la mer et à 7 min de taxi ou 35 en marchant de la 5e Avenue à playa del carmen. Restaurant à la carte très bon et pas besoin de réservation. Hôtel très propre. Pas de discothèque et pas de climatisation au buffet mais c'est juste pour information. L'ambiance est bonne mais très relaxe. Enjoy. Puis juste vous dire un petit scoop. Vous avez aussi accès à l'hôtel a viva maya à 5 min a pieds. Accès à la piscine pour adulte, bars, buffet et tout le reste. Les gens du viva maya ne peuvent pas venir au azteca alors ça marche juste d'un côté. Ce qui est très bien pour garder la plaisance et la tranquillité du azteca. Louer un vélo gratuit pour faire le tour de la zone sécurisé.

My daughter and I loved our week at the Viva Azteca. The buffet food was varied and delicious, and the Italian restaurant was superb with very attentive service. We also enjoyed the small, air-conditioned café which offered hot and cold drinks, as well as sandwiches and pastries. Everything was easily accessible, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean. The free activities, such as the catamaran tour, pool games, and entertainment, were excellent. There was only one pool, a little warm for our liking, but well-maintained, with pleasant bars and direct access to Playa del Carmen beach. A big thank you to Fernando (catamaran tour) and Alejandro (entertainment), as well as the waiters and housekeeping staff :)

Ma fille et moi, on a adoré notre semaine au Viva Azteca. La nourriture au buffet est variée et bonne et le resto italien était succulent avec service très attentionné. On a aussi apprécié le petit café climatisé qui offre des boissons chaudes, froides, ainsi que des sandwiches et pâtisseries. Tout est facilement accessible, le personnel est souriant et l'endroit est propre. Les activités gratuites, comme le tour de catamaran, les jeux à la piscine et l'animation étaient très bien. Une seule piscine, un peu chaude à notre goût, mais bien entretenue, des bars agréables et directement sur la plage de Playa del Carmen. Un gros wow à Fernando (tour de catamaran) et Alejandro (animation), ainsi qu'aux serveurs et femmes de chambre :)

Very strong smell of mold: pool not clean. Beach not very clean.

Odeur tres forte de moisissure: piscine pas propre. Plage pas tres propre.
