Excellent value for money
Excellent rapport qualité prix
Excellent value for money. Beautiful beach, close to Playa del Carmen. The restaurants are excellent, but I'd give the buffet a 6/10. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The premises are clean. The staff is polite, but the service is particularly noteworthy in the restaurants.

Good hotel
Bon hotel
Nice hotel, but not one I'd return to. The entertainment was great. The buffet was average, in the sense that it was decent but not amazing, especially the desserts which looked good but weren't really. There was also a lack of variety. However, it was a good week at this hotel. But I'll be staying somewhere else next time.
Bon hotel, mais ce n'est pas un hotel où je retournerai. Les divertissement sont géniaux. Le buffet est moyen, dans le sens que c'était correct mais pas woaw, surtout les desserts qui semblent bon mais ne le sont pas vraiment. Manque de variété aussi.

Okay, but not wow.
Correct mais pas wow
The beach is really disappointing because of the seaweed. There's an enormous amount, like mountains piling up on the beach. Tractors are constantly going around collecting it. Maybe it depends on the time of year. My youngest couldn't swim in the sea; he was having allergic reactions, or maybe it was jellyfish larvae. We didn't know exactly what it was, but he tried again four times, and the rash came back instantly. Otherwise, the hotel is very clean, and the rooms are comfortable. The pools: the water gets cloudy very quickly. The pool bar is packed from morning till night. It's the first time I've ever seen this: there's a security guard who, as soon as his shift starts at 4:00 PM (just him and no one else), forbids people from drinking in the pool (the pool with the bar!). People were surprised and irritated all week. Another strange thing about the whole resort: people line up in a straight line at every bar. They don't gather around the bar, they just queue up. Very weird. I was sick the day before we left and the day we left: food poisoning. I suspect the salads I made, which were full of fresh vegetables that must have been rinsed with untreated water… Our favorite things: the comfort and the little Café Maya. Great staff, magical place, excellent coffee, a library full of books to borrow. We spent a lot of time there reading and resting from the heat and sun.
La plage est vraiment décevante à cause des algues. Il y en a énormément, genre des montagnes qui s’accumulent sur la plage. Des tracteurs passent en continu pour en ramasser. Peut-être que ça dépend du moment de l’année.
More... Less...Mon plus jeune n’a pas pu se baigner dans la mer, il faisait des réactions allergiques ou alors c’était des larves de méduses. On a pas su exactement ce que c’était mais il s’est réessayé à 4 reprises et le rash revenait instantanément sur sa peau.
Sinon l’hôtel est très propre, les chambres sont confortables.
Les piscines: l’eau devient rapidement brouillée. Le pool bar est bondé du matin au soir. C’est la première fois que je vois ça: y a un agent de sécurité qui, dès que son chiffre commence à 16:00 (juste lui et personne d’autre), il interdit aux gens de boire dans la piscine (la piscine avec le bar!). Les gens étaient surpris et irrités toute la semaine.
Autre point étrange sur tout le site: les gens font la file en ligne droite à tous les bar. Ils ne se mettent pas autour du bar, ils font la file. Très weird.
J’ai été malade la journée avant notre départ et la journée de notre départ: empoisonnement alimentaire. Je soupçonne les salades que je me suis faites, qui étaient bourrés de légumes frais qui devaient avoir été rincés avec de l’eau non purifiée…
Nos points préférés: le confort et le petit Café Maya. Staff super, endroit magique, excellent café, une bibliothèque remplie de livres à emprunter. On y a passé beaucoup de temps à lire et à se reposer de la chaleur et du soleil.
