Stopping Time

Compostela is not just a hike , it’s a human experience, an opportunity to slow down, to clear your mind, to disconnect from everyday life. It’s a rendezvous with yourself, pulling you out of your routine, making you reflect, helping you grow. It’s a chance to slow down, to reconnect with yourself, and to see life differently.

The Camino Francés: A Life-Changing Experience!
Connecting Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, the Camino Francés is the most popular section of the Camino de Santiago. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it draws thousands of walkers from around the world every year , each with their own story and motivation.

Why Choose the Camino Francés?

  • Well-organized: Hostels, restaurants, clear signage, everything is in place to make your journey easier.

  • Visual variety: Mountains, vineyards, villages, forests, a constantly changing landscape that delights the eyes.

  • Cultural diversity: Walkers from all over the world, sharing unforgettable moments together.

  • Choosing yourself: Taking time to walk, reflect, enjoy, admire, eat, sleep  and do it all over again.

If you're looking to experience something truly special, to take a break and reconnect with yourself, the Camino de Santiago is the perfect journey for you!

Good to Know

Thousands of people walk the Camino each year and return changed, transformed. Whether it's the choice of accommodation, the meals offered, or the itinerary itself, this journey is carefully designed to provide everything you need to make this unique experience a success.

Although the tour is offered in a group format, it's important to note that walking times are flexible and done at your own pace. The group meets again at the end of each day at the various guesthouses to share stories and reflect on the day's journey. We recommend traveling light, as you are responsible for carrying your own luggage from one village to the next. For dinners, you'll find a variety of restaurants and grocery stores along the way.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a short phone call from Dave Morissette to make initial contact. Afterwards, you’ll be invited to a videoconference with the rest of the group to receive more detailed information about the trip and to ask any questions you may have.

Dave Morissette

In 2016, I began the Camino Francés by bike, starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port all the way to Santiago de Compostela. At that time, I deeply needed to take a break, to step away from the hectic pace of daily life, to rediscover simplicity and freedom. That’s exactly what the Camino offers: following the yellow arrows, one by one, without questioning, moving at the rhythm of the day, leaving behind usual worries. This journey marked a turning point in my life.

In 2017, I continued this quest by taking another section of the Camino, starting from Le Puy-en-Velay, discovering a new side of this legendary pilgrimage.

Then in 2018, an even more powerful experience: I did the Camino Francés again, this time with my father Allen and my two sons, Zack and Jérémy. This family journey was an unforgettable moment of sharing and connection.

In 2024, I walked the Camino Francés once more, confirming how essential this adventure is to recharge and refocus on what really matters.

Finally, in 2025, I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my dreams by guiding groups along the Camino.

Why keep doing it again and again?
The answer is simple: it’s on the Camino de Santiago that I feel most alive and free!
