Day 1 and 2: Flight departing from Montreal to Bangkok, with a stopover in Vancouver in economy class.
Day 3: Morning arrival in Bangkok, Thailand’s vibrant capital. After airport formalities, you will meet your guide and begin your exploration of the city’s iconic landmarks. Visit the magnificent Grand Palace, the country’s most prestigious monument, home to the sacred Wat Phra Kaew and the revered Emerald Buddha.
Welcome lunch at a local restaurant. Hotel check-in in the early afternoon. Evening at leisure to explore a lively night market and experience Bangkok’s dynamic atmosphere.
Day 4: After breakfast, visit the former residence of Jim Thompson, a beautiful teakwood home that reflects traditional Thai architecture and houses an impressive art collection.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat excursion along the Chao Phraya River and its peaceful canals (klongs), offering insight into traditional riverside life. Stop at the iconic Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. Return to the hotel for the night.
Day 5: Depart for the famous Maeklong Railway Market, where vendors swiftly fold their stalls as the train passes through the market.
Continue to the renowned Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where colorful boats sell tropical fruits and local specialties along the canals. Boat ride included. Lunch during the excursion and return to the hotel.
Day 6: Travel to Kanchanaburi province and visit Erawan National Park, famous for its seven-tiered emerald waterfalls. Free time for swimming in this spectacular natural setting. Transfer to your hotel in Kanchanaburi for check-in and relaxation.
Day 7: Visit the historic Bridge over the River Kwai, a powerful symbol of World War II history. Explore the JEATH Museum and the war cemetery.
Enjoy a scenic train ride along part of the historic “Death Railway.” Continue by road to Ayutthaya, the former royal capital of Siam. Overnight in Ayutthaya.
Day 8: Explore the majestic ruins of Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring red-brick temples, towering stupas and Buddha statues intertwined with ancient tree roots.
Visit the elegant Bang Pa-In Palace, showcasing a blend of Thai, Chinese and European architectural styles. Continue to Phitsanulok for overnight.
Day 9 : Visit Wat Yai in Phitsanulok before continuing to the Sukhothai Historical Park, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a relaxing bicycle ride through serene lakes, lotus ponds and ancient temple ruins.
Proceed to Lampang and visit the impressive Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. Overnight in Lampang.
Day 10: Explore historic temples in Lampang, including Wat Si Rongmuang, and enjoy a traditional horse-carriage ride through the old town.
Continue to Phrae to visit Wat Phra That Cho Hae and admire traditional teakwood houses and the local market. Proceed to Chiang Rai and check in at your hotel.
Day 11: Visit the legendary Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River with panoramic views of the three countries.
Stop at the Mae Kachan hot springs before returning to your hotel.
Day 12: Discover Chiang Rai’s contemporary masterpieces: the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) and the striking White Temple (Wat Rong Khun).
Visit the Choui Fong Tea Plantation, stroll through the terraced fields and enjoy a tea tasting overlooking the scenic hills. Continue to Chiang Mai.
Day 13: Participate in a traditional northern Thai cooking class, including a market visit and tasting of your creations.
In the afternoon, visit the handicraft village of Bo Sang before heading up to the sacred Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, offering breathtaking panoramic views over Chiang Mai.
Day 14: Early morning offering to monks, followed by a full-day excursion to Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand’s highest peak. Visit the Royal Twin Pagodas, enjoy a nature walk and admire spectacular waterfalls.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner accompanied by cultural performances.
Day 15: Full-day visit to the ethical Kanta Elephant Sanctuary, where you will interact respectfully with elephants in their natural habitat. Activities include feeding, walking and bathing the elephants.
Evening flight to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 16: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your international flight home. End of services and conclusion of your unforgettable journey through the Kingdom of Siam.
