A destination that deserves to be discovered and visited by tourists seeking tranquility and wonder.

What to do in San Andrés?

Go scuba diving

San Andrés is a paradise for exploring the underwater world! In fact, UNESCO declared the San Andrés archipelago a World Biosphere Reserve in 2000 to protect its marine wildlife. The archipelago boasts around forty dive sites. Moreover, San Andrés is home to the second largest coral reef in the world after Australia's!

Relaxing on paradise beaches

It's no secret that San Andrés boasts magnificent beaches with fine white sand. One of the most popular is Playa de Spratt Bight, perfect for long walks or swimming. If you'd like to discover an island in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, head to Johnny Cay (also known as Sugar Island).

Discover the San Luis district

The San Luis district is one of the most traditional on the island, with its wooden houses and Caribbean architecture. In the past, it was the island's main port from which coconuts were shipped! Discover the local restaurants that will make your mouth water.

When to leave?

The best time to visit San Andrés is between January and May. San Andrés enjoys a humid tropical climate. During the day, the average temperature is 28°C (82°F). From June to September, the weather is less favorable. October and November are not ideal. Although the maximum temperature can reach up to 29°C (84°F), rainfall is very high due to the rainy season.
