Good morning!

Today I'm offering you a quick overview of sunny locations that have served as filming locations for your favorite movies!

Alone in the world

Although the circumstances that led Tom Hanks' character to the deserted island are tragic, one can only agree that the scenery is idyllic!

Monuriki Island, located in the Pacific Ocean, was the main setting for Robert Zemeckis' film, released in 2000. This volcanic island is located in Fiji.

Jurassic Park

The filming of the famous movie that made a lasting impression on many of us in the early 1990s took place largely on Isla Nublar. This volcanic island is located 190 km west of Costa Rica.

Some scenes were also filmed on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. However, a hurricane delayed filming for a few days. Additional scenes for Spielberg's film were shot in the eastern Dominican Republic, along the Chavon River.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The magnificent panorama of San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean have served repeatedly as filming locations for the four films in the series.

Several scenes from the feature film starring Johnny Depp were also filmed in the Hawaiian islands of Kauai and Oahu.

The beach

Danny Boyle's film starring Leonardo DiCaprio was shot largely on the island of Ko Phi Phi Lee, Thailand.

Several scenes from the film, which appeared in the early 2000s, were also filmed in Phuket, a city in southern Thailand.
