Did you fly with Sunwing between 2014 and 2017? If so, you may be eligible for a discount on your next trips with the airline. A class-action lawsuit is currently underway because Sunwing used the word "champagne" in its advertisements at the time, but actually served sparkling wine on board.
The class action includes only consumers residing in the province of Quebec who, between February 10, 2014, and April 30, 2017, purchased and/or obtained tickets and/or travelled with Sunwing Vacations Inc. or Sunwing Airlines Inc., for a flight and/or package presented, advertised, or described using the word "champagne." No proof of purchase is required.
Members of the class action must register at reglement.sunwing.ca/fr/ by November 4, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (EST) to benefit from the 7% discount before taxes (not applicable to group orders). The 7% discount is valid for three years, with no purchase limit.
Once registered for the offer, you can purchase your trip with us by phone only and receive a 7% discount for yourself and up to 5 additional passengers on your booking. Before finalizing your reservation, the travel advisor will need to confirm with Sunwing that you are eligible for the discount.
By taking advantage of the 7% discount, the rebate and price drop guarantee offered by Voyages à Rabais will not apply. However, you can still apply your Voyages à Rabais travel credits.
For all questions regarding the class action, please refer to Champlain Avocats.
