And no, we're not going to talk about memory games to pass the time in the car today! Instead, I'm offering you a checklist of what you absolutely MUST NOT forget when travelling in the south!

Money and documents

• Passport, visas and photocopies thereof
• Insurance documents and photocopies thereof
• Airline tickets, hotel and transfer vouchers, and photocopies thereof
• Cash
• Credit cards and bank cards

A little tip: These important documents should be with you at all times.

First aid kit

• Prescription medications and their prescription
• Medications for flu, headaches, allergies, diarrhea, stomach aches and all other minor ailments!
• Pain reliever creams (like Polysporin) and adhesive bandages

Toiletry bag

• Shampoo
• Shower soap/gel
• Facial cleanser
• Brush/comb
• Deodorant
• Shaving kit
• Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss
• Eyeglasses, contact lenses and cleaning solution
• Antibacterial hand cream
• Sunscreen and after-sun cream (in case of sunburn!)
• Mosquito repellent

Clothes

• Underwear
• swimsuit
• Hat or cap
• Shorts, bermudas
• Pants
• Shirts
• T-shirts
• Jackets for cooler evenings
• Windbreaker
• Pajamas
• Sandals, flip-flops, water shoes, clean shoes, and comfortable shoes

Miscellaneous

• Tourist guide
• Sunglasses
• Camera/batteries/memory card
• Power adapter/converter
• Cell phone charger
• Books/magazines
• Umbrella
• Beach bag
• Card game (for waiting at the airport!)
• iPod/MP3/charger
• Travel pillow

This is a good starting point for your luggage! However, make sure you don't exceed the airline's limits.
