The Finger Lakes region owes its name to a series of lakes with a very elongated shape reminding the fingers of the hand. These very deep lakes date back to Ice Age. You will certainly have a great time on the Skaneateles Lake cruise. In addition to admiring breathtaking landscapes, you will learn about the history of the region. Seneca Lake, the largest of all the lakes that make up the Finger Lakes, is also a must-discover. In fact, they are all worth a visit!


Vineyards and tastings

The superb Finger Lakes region benefits from a microclimate very favorable to vine cultivation. Indeed, it produces excellent white wines, many of which have won international awards. You absolutely must make a stop at Cayuga Ridge and Thirsty Owl estates, where you will have the chance to taste great wines in enchanting sites. There are also tours where you can learn a lot about the region's wine history and how to make wine.


The Corning Glass Museum

While in Corning, you should definitely make a stop at its very impressive Glass Museum. This exceptional museum dedicates to the history of glass and the different manufacturing techniques. You will be able to contemplate the most imposing collection in the world! Indeed, the museum presents more than 45,000 pieces, some of which date back 3,500 years. It is even possible to participate in craft workshops. The Corning Glass Museum is an activity that you cannot miss.


Outdoor activities

The Finger Lakes region is the perfect place for nature getaways. First, take a trip to stunning Taughannock Fall. Then, go to Robert H. Treman State Park, a park with 12 impressive falls and many hiking trails offering exceptional views. There is no doubt you will love all that the Finger Lakes have to offer.
